This Moon is conservative and resists change pushed on it from outside, is hard to influence and can be obstinate, and when it does move it can move in one sweep, carrying through a change that looks revolutionary from the outside. The tradition calls this the Moon's fall.
Each planet has signs where the tradition considers it strong and signs where it considers it weak. The Moon rules Cancer and is exalted in Taurus; in Capricorn it is in detriment, and here it is in fall. Fall does not mean bad luck. It means the sign asks of the Moon something that is not its nature: the Moon holds and soothes, and this sign holds and probes.
