Privacy
This site has no account system, no server that stores anything about you, and no analytics following you from page to page. The only outside party involved is the advertising provider, and only on the pages that carry an advertisement.
- The city you choose
- Your precise location, if you ever grant it
- Any birth date, time or place you type in
- Every position, time and lunar day computed from them
- The advertisement on some pages, served by an outside provider
- The web fonts, loaded from Google Fonts
- The astronomy and animation libraries, loaded from a public code network
- Your own internet provider, which sees that you visited, as with any site
Guessed first, and only precise if you ask for it
Location
The site needs a place, because moonrise and the lunar day depend on it.
By default it guesses from the time zone your browser already reports, which is not a precise location and is not sent anywhere. If you press the button that asks for your exact position, your browser asks your permission first, the coordinates are used in the page to pick the nearest city, and they are not stored or transmitted. Changing the city by hand avoids the question entirely.

Birth data
What you type into the Moon sign page stays in the page.
It is used to compute the position of the Moon at that moment and then it is gone when you close the tab. There is no database here to put it in, and nothing is sent anywhere. That is not a promise about our good intentions; it is a consequence of the site having no server to send it to.

Cookies and advertising
This site sets no cookies, and carries no advertising.
Not fewer cookies, and not only necessary ones. None. There is nothing to accept, nothing to refuse, and no banner asking you either way, because nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read from it.
There is also no advertising on any page, so no outside company is loaded alongside the calendar and none can watch you through it.
If advertising is ever added, this page will say so before it appears, will name the provider, and will explain exactly what that provider does. Until you read that here, there is none.
Kept here rather than buried in a longer document
Children, and your rights
This site is not directed at children and asks nobody for personal details, so there is nothing collected from anyone of any age. Because no personal data is collected or stored, there is no file to request, correct or erase, and no company holding one on our behalf.
If this ever changes, the change will be described here in the same plain words, with the date it took effect.
